Integrate Your 3CX PBX Phone System with versaSRS via versa3CX

18/11/2011

Help Desk operators who manually create new tickets generally receive a new request via a telephone call. Requestors may follow up these tickets with a telephone call. Therefore, to improve this process, versaSRS has been enhanced to integrate with the 3CX Phone System via the versa3CX application.

Versa3CX consists of a server component called versa3CX Server and a client component called versa3CX Client. Versa3CX Client is installed on computers of each help desk staff responsible for attending to phone calls. Versa3CX Server is installed on the same server hosting 3CX phone system.

Regency Media Improving Customer Service

Regency Media is an optical media manufacturing company, delivering a manufacturing output of over 40 million DVDs, 25 million CDs and employing some 250 staff. They recently implemented versaSRS to help improve customer service.

Dominic Borg: "Currently we use versaSRS to log all faults and service requests for the ICT department. We triage calls and allocate service requests based on load and product knowledge expertise. Networking in Singapore

Adelaide-based software company VersaDev's directors returned from a major exhibition in Singapore with contracts in their pocket and smiles on their faces.

CommunicAsia 2010, a one-stop ICT event that attracts more than 35,000 buyers/sellers including 9000 senior executives, is seen as the place to be for those looking to capitlise on their innovative products.

One of the big names there this year was Skype CEO Josh Silverman who outlined the six-year growth of Skype from nothing to half a billion users, accounting for 12 per ceent of the world's international calling minutes.

For VersaDev's David Fennessy it was his second visit to CommunicAsia, and his most productive.

"It was very good, very busy, but very worthwhile," Mr Fennessy said.

"The focus this year was on companies looking for opportunities to partner whereas last year in the fallout from the finacnial crisis, the focus was on solutions for problems.

"We have come back with a deal to be the sole Australian distributor for a South Korean company ZConverter; who make server back-up and recovery systems. They've got back-up solutions that can do what others in the market can't.

"We've also signed up partners for our own software product in Hong Kong and that gives us excellent exposure in a growning market.

"All in all its's been great."

One of the side shows of CommunicAsia is the givewaways that the companies use to attract attention.

Last year Samsung and LG mobiles were the item of choice - this year it was the iPad.

"Everybody wanted the iPad, it's the big thing." David said.

"And elsewhere in Singapoere the copies had already hit the streets with Ipeds, aPads and all sorts."

Mr Fennessy paid tribute to the work of governament agencies InnovateSA and AusTrade.

"They are a fantastic resource," he said.

"They get you in front of the right people and in meetings you wouldn't be able to arrange on your own."

Being from Adelaide was also an advantage, he said.

"A lot of people you talk to now know Adelaide because they studied there or they know someone who is studying there," he said.

"The international education thing is working very well for us."


Pace of Change

Adelaide-based software company VersaDev was one of nine local businesses to exhibit at this year's CommunicAsia event held in Singapore this week. VersaDev joint managing directors Warren Bullock and David Fennessy may have been amazed at the 60,000 business buyers who attended the huge exhibition which was this year dominated by the iPad. Brief Case can still remember the amazed expression on Singapore's Communications Minister Mah Boh Tan's face in 1998 when an enthusiastic exhibitor showed him a 'computer that can connect to the internet global computer network'. VersaDev flies SA flag at Singapore's CommunicAsia

Adelaide-based software company VersaDev is exhibiting its versaSRS software as one of nine innovative South Australian businesses at this week's CommunicAsia event in Singapore.

The company's flagship product, versaSRS is customer service management product which requires minimum investment in infrastructure from its clients across the manufacturing, ICT, agriculture, retail, health and government sectors.

According to VersaDev joint MDs Warren Bullock and David Fennessy, accessing Innovate SA programs and services and attending events such as CommunicAsia serves as a great platform in the promotion of their product range as well as providing networking opportunities.

"While we have resellers around the globe in countries including the USA, South Africa and New Zealand, our focus is now firmly set on growing our market presence in the Asia Pacific region," David says.

"Last year's event actually resulted in us gaining several new clients including fellow CommunicAsia exhibitor, Australian Satellite Communications.

"The advantage with our products, especially for international clients is that they are delivered and sold as a browser download product, with a free trial version available too. This means our overheads and costs are greatly reduced and reduce our clients' operational costs at the same time."

Innovate SA Chief Executive, Greg Boundy says events such as CommunicAsia, along with training and industry contacts, form the basis for SA businesses succeeding in the international market place.

"Helping SA businesses like VersaDev develop their market share internationally is something we are passionate about at Innovate SA," Greg says.

"Maximising the connection between buyers and sellers in the ICT sector is what our involvement and the SA contingent at CommunicAsia is all about.
